Rachel Lanzerotti, MSW, eRYT500, Certified Yoga Therapist teaches therapeutic yoga classes at UCSF’s Osher Center and offers Yoga Therapy with individual students in her private practice, Five Rivers Yoga. Since 2010, Rachel has taught with numerous UCSF research studies, such as: Yoga for Chronic Low Back Pain (YoMA I & II), Restorative Yoga for the Metabolic Syndrome (PRYSMS), Integrative Approaches to Cancer Survivorship (IACS), and Mindful Breathing with Project INSPIRE. Her classes at Osher Center include Therapeutic Yoga Series for Chronic Low Back Pain; Yoga for the Upper Back, Shoulders, and Neck; and Yoga for Healthy Digestion.
A graduate of the Essential Yoga Therapy Therapist Training Program and Spirit Rock’s Mindfulness Yoga and Meditation Training Programs, Rachel’s specialized training includes the EYT Essential Low Back Program (lower back pain relief and strengthening), Advanced Relax & Renew® (restorative yoga), MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction), and iRest® Level I yoga nidra. Rachel holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from San Francisco State University and a BA in Human Biology and Feminist Studies from Stanford University.
