Instructor, Mindfulness-Based Childbirth & Parenting
Catherine Polan Orzech, MA, LMFT, is a marriage and family therapist and has been teaching programs in Mindful Parenting for ten years. She has worked with expectant families as a doula and is a trained childbirth educator. Catherine is the mother of a pre-schooler, who is her greatest mindfulness teacher.
Catherine received her initial training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction at the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and additional professional training with Jon Kabat-Zinn. She co-founded the Montreal Center for Mindfulness and has taught mindfulness in the US and internationally. For seven years, Catherine was a senior faculty member at the Mindfulness Institute at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital’s Center for Integrative Medicine in Philadelphia. She began her instructor training in Mindfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting with Nancy Bardacke, CNM in 2009, which brought together her many passions for serving parents and families.
