Bonnie O’Brien Jonsson, MS

Instructor, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction


Bonnie O’Brien Jonsson, MS, has been a practitioner of mindfulness meditation since 1993. She completed professional training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction with Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1996, and has practiced dedicated study through Spirit Rock Meditation Center. She is also a certified Qi Gong instructor.

Bonnie has a masters degree in health education and worked as a program director and hospital clinician for 16 years before she started her business providing continuing education seminars for healthcare professionals. She also led workshops in mindful living and dying for 15 years. She currently teaches Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction at Google, and teaches meditation in prison, as well as other venues in the Bay Area. Bonnie brings a sense of joy and kindness into her teaching.
