Patty Moran, PhD is Research Specialist in the Department of Medicine at UCSF. She received a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Iowa, with a focus on health psychology, in 2000. She completed a clinical internship in Behavioral Medicine at the Palo Alto VA Hospital, and recently completed a two-year fellowship in Psychology and Medicine at UCSF.
Her research interests include psychological adjustment in chronic or serious illness; coping at the end-of-life; and adherence to medical regimens. Dr. Moran is Project Director of the Care Preferences in People Living with Serious Illness Study, an NIH-funded study examining coping and care preferences in individuals with cancer and AIDS and their caregivers.
