Emotional Wellness
for Women:
Workshops on Transformation and Psyche
The imagery and narrative of myths, dreams and fairy tales can powerfully illuminate the psychological changes accompanying major life transitions. The Osher Center offers periodic workshops on the evolution and transformation of psyche in the lifecycle of women. Drawing on the unique work of Carl Jung, and studying fairytales from around the world, each workshop meets for several weeks and explores one specific topic related to women’s psychological growth.
In our next workshop we will read from the fairytale collection of Women Who Run With the Wolves, by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. With guidance from workshop facilitators, participants will discover how key archetypes in the story of Bluebeard contain timeless wisdom about human psychology and the path to transformation and authenticity.
Look for future Emotional Wellness Workshops on Transformation and Psyche where we will focus on other topics:
- Identifying and Embracing One’s Lifework
- Relationships as Psychological Journey
- Reckoning and Renewal at Mid-Life
