Education
The Osher Center presents educational programs in integrative medicine for health professional students, practicing clinicians, and the community. We teach and we conduct educational research in a way that embodies the values of integrity, collaboration, and service, with the ultimate goals of enhancing health and well being and transforming medicine.
The core principles of the Osher Center Education Program include:
- A comparative approach to health and healing enables us to understand the diverse needs of patients, as well as practitioners.
- CAM and integrative medicine can improve our understanding and practice of healthcare by holding a mirror to biomedicine.
- Education in CAM and integrative medicine is relevant to all health professional students.
- Integrative medicine education should be cross-cultural, inter-disciplinary, and evidence-based.
