Advancing the Field of Integrative Medicine
Spotlight: The Living Endowment Health Visionary Circle
The UCSF Osher Center would like to thank Wendie and Stephen Ryter for their support of the Osher Center’s Living Endowment with a gift of $5,000, making them charter members of our Health Visionary Circle.
An annual gift to the Osher Center's Living Endowment Campaign will ensure the Osher Center's permanance in our community and your membership in the Health Visionary Circle.
The UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine combines the best of modern medicine with established practices from around the world—such as acupuncture, massage, and biofeedback. At the Osher Center, treatments are not an adjunct to conventional medicine; rather they are integrated together with a focus on prevention, health maintenance, early intervention, and patient-centered care. With this approach, integrative medicine holds the power to improve the health of the public and also reduce care-related costs.
If you would like more information about the UCSF Osher Center's Living Endowment Campaign and the Health Visionary Circle, please contact: Maureen Smith.
Special thanks to Wendie and Stephen L. Ryter

Osher Center in the Community: Public Education Programs
The UCSF Osher Center knows that public education about healthy lifestyle choices and patient empowerment are critical to our community's health and our country's bottom line. Our public programs emphasize prevention as the cornerstone of good health and underscore how the Osher Center integrates the best of modern medicine with established practices from around the world in order to bring complete healthcare to all people. We are committed to bringing you the most up-to-date, evidence-based information possible to help support and enhance your health and well-being.
This summer, the UCSF Osher Center's Healthy You Newsletter and Lunchtime Lecture Series are focused on Integrative Oncology: Prevention, Treatment, and Beyond Cancer Care. Our lectures and articles cover the areas of nutrition, movement, fads, acupressure techniques for children and adults, and suggestions for a healthy summer cuisine. We invite you to take advantage of these wonderful (and free) resources. For more information, please visit our Public Programs.
